In April 2006, California Real Estate Technology Services (CARETS) began development of an aggregated database of Southern California listings.
The intent was to create a standardized data definition for listings, ONE set of MLS Rules and Regulations, and ONE set of Data Integrity Standards
for its MLSs (CLAW, CrisNet, iTech, SoCal MLS and MRMLS) to use.
Starting June 15, 2009, Tri-Counties will implement the Tri-Counties/CARETS Data Integrity Standards. Warning letters only will be sent during the first 30 days as a
courtesy and no penalties will be assessed during this period, however, the violations MUST BE corrected in a timely manner. These new standards
will be universally enforced throughout each of the five MLSs and participating Associations and Boards of Realtors.
The Tri-Counties/CARETS Data Integrity Standards and the Tri-Counties MLS Citation Policy share similar and uphold similar standards.
