Pro Standards Guide
Through our Professional Standards Department, the Tri-Counties Association of REALTORS® has one of the most well respected programs in the State of California.
We can offer members of the public and our members numerous ways to solve a dispute.
Arbitration Program
All Tri-Counties members are required to settle their monetary disputes (usually a commission issue) through the use of our Arbitration program. Members submit to Tri-Counties an arbitration request including a summary of the events and pay a $500 filing fee. The process will begin and a hearing will be scheduled to settle the matter.
Ethics Complaints
To preserve the integrity of our industry we encourage REALTORS® to adhere to the association Code of Ethics. Any violations of the Code of Ethics or MLS Rules by one of our members should be reported to the association.
Mediation Program
If a buyer and/or seller are in a dispute (usually over a deposit or lack of disclosure) Tri-Counties offers mediation services for your clients. Our mediation services provide a quick and professional means of solving the dispute. All Mediations are processed under Pacific West Association of REALTORS®
